Real Wedding
A DC Soirée
We love these dashing grooms! From the gorgeous boutonnieres to the black tie attire, K & B kept things picture perfect! Their day was captured seamlessly by Readyluck Photography, who always knocks it out of the park!
From the photographer...
This was a really special wedding for many reasons. Firstly, the couple was just so darn nice and sincere! And, their families infused their wedding with palpable joy and support. We could literally feel the love throughout the day and evening! We began the day at the White House Bowling Alley where we photographed Keith and Brook bowling amongst photographs of presidents (also bowling) and 1970's modern furniture. Such a great spot, and I was so excited that I was entrusted to capture these moments. It was one of those days that makes being a wedding photographer much more than a job. I was kicking myself! Keith and Brook solidified their union last fall during the golden hour just outside of the Jefferson Memorial. Before the ceremony, we meandered the Tidal Basin and the Memorial to make portraits of the couple and their family. Their ceremony officiant was a good friend and a member of the First Lady's staff. After nuptials were exchanged, butterflies were set free over the couple and the crowd. Rogue 24 is a unique restaurant and venue. This was their first wedding in the space, and it went off without a hitch. Chef RJ Cooper and his team prepared the food in the open kitchen while guests nibbled amongst them. The guests loved eating the foods being prepared right before them. Rogue 24 is a tasting menu dining experience, so the chef prepared a menu based upon the couple's favorite foods today and their comfort foods as children. Each dish was exceptional!
