Meet Kate…
About Kate (she/her)
Kate was born and raised in Minnesota, but has lived in NYC (Queens, specifically) for over 15 years. In addition to H&H Weddings, she works in digital marketing.
Kate can often be found running along the East River, basking in the glory of terrible home decorating shows or on the hunt for her next favorite beer.
In 2013, before same-sex marriage was legal in most states, Kate had an idea after reading a HuffPo article written by a frustrated bride-to-be. The soonlywed and her partner had nowhere to turn for beautiful, modern wedding inspiration as a queer couple.
Kate took the idea and ran with it. For 6 years, she published all types of queer love on the H&H Weddings blog. Eventually, she came to the conclusion that the blog was no longer serving it’s purpose and H&H Weddings was converted into a social media-only community.
