An Intimate Anniversary Shoot in Grafton, NY
How did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend when Kiki came to NYC for a photography gig where I was living at the time. Apparently, Kiki asked for the introduction to happen since we knew of each other previously. We had been Facebook friends for years but cannot remember if we had actually met or not. It’s an ongoing joke because when we had originally become Facebook friends Kiki had sent me a flirty message that I had ignored but the timing worked out perfectly in the end!
How long have you been married?
We have been married for one year.
What is the best quality of the other person?
Kiki: She is so supportive and always pushes me to be a better version of myself.
Katie: Hands down Kiki’s energy and the way that she brings joy to every situation. She makes me laugh hard every day.
What is the best thing that your spouse/partner/significant other has taught you?
Kiki: Communication 100% there’s an advantage to being married to a therapist.
Katie: Kiki has taught me how to loosen up and go with the flow which does not come naturally to me at all.
What do you most look forward to in the future with your spouse/partner/significant other?
Kiki: Growing our family together.
Tell us a bit about your anniversary shoot! What made you decide to do a shoot? Where did the style/design inspiration come from?
We had originally wanted to hire Nicole for our wedding but she was on her own honeymoon! Kiki is also a Photographer and was chatting with Nicole about our anniversary plans and the shoot was planned. Nicole really led the vision of the shoot and it was so much fun!
Kiki is the one in the denim shirt and navy pants and Katie is wearing the polka dots.
