Trash The Dress
One definition of magnetic is: very attractive or alluring. Magnetic is the one word I would use to describe the relationship I have with my wife, Amanda. From the day I met her, there has been a constant pull. I’m not sure I believe in love at first site or soul mates, but I have experienced some force that pulls my life to hers. While living in separate houses I would find myself inexplicably driving to her house instead of my own. We are drawn to each other and I truly believe that next to her is where I am always meant to be.
Just being in her presence can soothe me after a stressful day. We have now been married almost two months and I’m reassured every day I wake and every night I fall asleep it will be in her soothing presence.
We have also both been drawn to Provincetown. We would have liked to have our wedding there, but did the second best thing and did a trash the dress session. We put on our dresses and had our amazing photographer, Todd Wilson, join us for some pictures in some of our favorite places.
I never believed there was such a thing as the perfect match; however, when I met Megan, I instantly knew I wanted to be her best friend. There was something about her that I wanted to be near and I knew that I wanted her to be a major factor in my life. I would constantly text her and there was one week that we saw each other daily – even if it was just on the softball field, where we met. I found myself flirting with her and we were dating within weeks. We bonded over Pitch Perfect and Harry Potter and I was in love within weeks.
I belong on the beach and by the ocean. We both love the sound of crashing waves and knew that Provincetown would be the perfect place for our mini-moon. With two young daughters, a week away on the sunny tip of the cape was perfect for our trash the dress session with Todd Wilson. We dragged him to our favorite spots: Zinnia (where we bought our promise rings a year ago), Crown & Anchor (where our favorite Food Network Star, Michele Ragussis is Executive Chef), Governor Bradford (where we love to watch karaoke), and the Purple Feather (where the most decadent chocolate can be found)! Megan sang to me at our literary themed wedding and I know that her voice is what I want to hear “Always” (Severus Snape, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).
