From Catherine, the photographer...
Kayoko and Erika traveled from Japan to elope in New York City during a very exciting time. Not only was in Pride, It was several days after the supreme court ruled that same-sex couples could marry nationwide. The couple loved celebrating at Pride and the delight continued through their day long elopement.
We started the morning with hair and make-up at The Paramount hotel and rode over to City Hall for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we visited the couples' favorite NYC landmarks for photos. We couldn't have asked for better weather or a more joyous atmosphere. People cheered for Erika and Kayoko at all of our stops. The crowd was especially supportive at the Bethesda fountain in Central Park, where Kayoko had proposed to Erika earlier that year. Wishing this stylish and loving couple a wonderful life together.
