Tell us your love story!

We met online back when we were living in Omaha, Nebraska the summer of 2009. I was finishing up my undergraduate studies and Nick had just moved back from out of state. We played tennis the first time we met, and there is contradicting stories as to who won. One day later we went on our first formal date in Omaha's Old Market. We had an immediate connection and quickly realized that we share many interest such as sports and politics. We were pretty much inseparable from our first date on and by the summer of 2010 we moved in together. About a year and a half before the wedding, we went to Las Vegas for our annual weekend getaway to the city. Shortly after arriving to the hotel Nick left the room to supposedly get ice. Instead, he sent me a text message to play a video on our iPad, which highlighted some key events in our relationship. The end of the video described a location where Nick was waiting. He proposed once I found him waiting for me above Las Vegas Blvd.

In the summer of 2014, we found out that we would be moving to Boston for my residency, so we started to plan our wedding. It was a little challenging to plan at first because we were new to the area. However, I had done some research and zeroed in on Portland, Maine. The first time we went to Portland we toured the Inn on Peaks Island and immediately knew it was the place for our wedding. Given that we were still planning the wedding from somewhat afar, we relied on our wedding coordinator for his vendor recommendations. It took the stress out of the planning process because every recommendation ended up making our day perfect.
