A Sunny Soirée

We love sunny, bright weddings, especially when we could use some sunshine ourselves! This outdoor wedding is nothing short of pure sweetness! These brides are so adorable, we can't handle it and we love all of the perfect little touches they added.

From the brides...

We were were married at a local park in Ramona CA. Tucked in the country with large oak trees, sweeping grassy areas and a beautiful pond, we wanted a ceremony and reception surrounded by nature, family, and friends. We knew it would be a hot afternoon for the picnic wedding, so asked guests to come in shorts, boat shoes, and ready for a few outdoor picnic games!

After only 5 weeks of planning, our summer picnic wedding in one of the hottest places in San Diego County definitely had it's challenges, but all were worth it. We really took into account the weather and the location, so we loaded up with tons of water bottles and ice for cold beer. We had delicious picnic-style food provided by our favorite gourmet food truck, and our best friends made all of the desserts as their wedding present to us. We lined picnic tables with yellow linens and burlap runners, and a centerpiece on each of a mason jar full of yellow and white wildflowers. It was beautiful for us. Our families were a tremendous help in setting up the park for the ceremony and reception and we really couldn't have done it without them.

Jessie: Perhaps the most memorable and special moment for me was our first look before our ceremony. It was intimate, peaceful, and seeing Sara was absolutely breathtaking. Our ceremony and exchange of vows was the event I had been anxiously waiting for since I proposed in July 2012.

Sara: The best part of the day for me was our ceremony.  It was important to us to have something meaningful, but not drawn-out.  We wrote our own vows, our dear friend (and officiate) read a beautiful poem, and we were hand-fasted under a magnificent oak tree.  It was short and simple and I got to say exactly how I feel about Jessie in front of everyone I love.

Our day was perfect for us - from the Polaroid table asking guests to take a picture and write a note, our custom cake toppers that looked exactly like us, to sharing a beautiful day in the country with our closest family and friends. It was a day we'll never forget.
