Not going to lie, this might be the first time we've seen matching dresses in varying colors. Also, not going to lie, we love it! A&B had a lovely elopement in Central Park, it was quiet and cozy, just how they wanted it! Luckily for us, De Nueva Photography was there to capture it all!

From Beth...

It was another day at the NOC (Network Operations Center) with the boys. We were getting a new master control operator that week. I saw the name and it said Andressa. I was happy because at that time there were no girls on first shift and I knew it would be great to have another girl to talk to, you know, girl stuff. When my boss came through the door the next morning he said, “Beth this is Andressa” aka Dre. I said, “It’s a girl!” with a smile and I shook her hand. I wanted to hug her at first, but I was worried she would think I was crazy. Over the months of training Dre, I was getting to know her better and we would hang out outside of work with the girls from other shifts and the newcomers. It was nice having a good friend to talk to at work.

During the first year or so, we became great friends and were learning about each other’s family, culture and background. Over time it just happened, we fell in love with each other. After being together for a while, Dre took me to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she is from. One morning, I wanted to see the sunrise at Ipanema Beach, plus have some alone time together with no one around. When we arrived at the beach, we sat down in the sand and waited for the sunrise. As the sun was rising I asked Dre to marry me. That was the first time I have ever seen my energetic and playful Dre, with no expression or word coming out of her mouth. In that moment I was worried and I asked her again “will you marry me”. She said yes, with a smile on her face. She was so surprised she couldn’t believe it.

We knew we wanted to get married somewhere we both loved. Andressa have always loved New York and I enjoyed going there as a child to visit family. We knew we wanted to enjoy the wedding time and put the focus on just the two of us. That is why we decided to elope. It was a magical week in NYC and the best trip we have ever made. Everything was wonderful, the people, the food, the places, the shows, but the best thing was the day we got married in Central Park at the Ladies Pavilion. I was so nervous that day and excited. Dre looked so beautiful and was a trooper during the cold. I was worried at first because of the rain, but it all worked out in our favor. The rain stopped just enough, the lighting was great and not many people were around, meaning I’m very shy and did not want the attention from on lookers. We had a sweet ceremony with us exchanging our own vows to one another. We had a romantic lunch at the Boat House with our beautiful and quaint wedding cake. That day felt magical and we didn’t want it to end. It was so much fun getting our hair and makeup done, dressing up and taking photos on our special day.

I now live with my best friend and wife and I am so in love. She makes me smile every morning when I see her “sleeping beauty” face, giving her as many kisses on her face, as she will let me. I am looking forward to see what our future holds and growing old together on our journey as soul mates.
