This engagement session has everything you could ask for; two cuties who are totally smitten, a gorgeous backdrop & plenty of sweet moments! With the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden as the setting, De Nueva Photography hit the jackpot! We can't stop reading through R & J's proposal story! It's perfection!
Jeremy and I met while we were both juniors in College. He was attending the U of MN in Minneapolis and I was at VCU in Richmond, VA. It was December 2008, right after Christmas and I was in Minneapolis visiting my friend, Inga, for a few days before flying back East for New Year’s. Inga was also attending the U of MN and was good friends with Jeremy at the time. One night while visiting, we went to Jeremy’s for a party, which was when Jeremy and I first met each other. Inga had forewarned us both that we probably wouldn’t really hit it off. Fortunately, she was wrong. After a snowstorm and two missed flights back East, I ended up stuck in MN for New Year’s weekend hanging out with Jeremy and his friends. After only about 4 days of knowing each other, we knew there was a future together. Before even leaving, we found ourselves booking flights to see each other again later that month. We continued a long distance relationship flying back and forth twice a month until we graduated a year and a half later, in 2010.
Jeremy and I took a trip to Europe in 2011. On our first stop in Paris, Jeremy and I were at the Eiffel Tower. While gazing into the distance from the top, Jeremy could tell something was up. It was cold and Jeremy wanted to go back down and head back to the hotel. I wanted to spend a little more time looking out at the beauty of Paris, and pop the big question, but with Jeremy's consistent nagging, the timing wasn't right, so we took the elevator back down and walked back to our hotel. Finally back at the hotel, to Jeremy's relief, I recommended that we have a beer on the balcony of our room to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle in the moonlight. Jeremy agreed and we both took a seat. After a few minutes enjoying the view, I leaned over and on one knee, asked Jeremy if he would marry me.
