Nothing makes us fall harder than an amazing proposal. Courtney blew us away (imagine how Ingrid felt!) with this one! We adore these stunning engagement photos. Our friend, Leslie, of Lovers & Dreamers Photography never ceases to amaze us!

The love story...

After nearly a decade of bi-coastal missed connections, Courtney and Ingrid crossed paths at San Francisco's 2011 Pride weekend. Within months, it became apparent that this was no chance intersection: the best course for these two was one travelled together. Later that year, Ingrid took a leap of faith and moved from Brooklyn to the west coast.

Their continental love story presented been a unique opportunity. As they grew to know one other, they also learned to love each other's coast. They've shared concerts in Big Sur under the stars, mornings at the flea market in Brooklyn, weekends in wine country, soaking in Turkish baths, and sunbathing in Sayulita.

That adventuresome spirit informed not just their courtship, but their commitment. Ingrid loves a mystery and she loves the great outdoors. And, because Courtney loves Ingrid, she wanted the proposal to reflect those parts of life so important to her wife-to-be -- as well as the elements of fun, romance, interactivity -- and, of course, surprise!  With the magic of PhotoShop, Courtney created a bespoke map of Mt. Tamalpais: one with a personalized trail marking the highlights and milestones of the relationship.  Rather than an X marking the spot, the treasure hunt's key included a heart with a question mark.  And finally, a Morse Code message: "Will You Marry Me?

On Ingrid's birthday, they headed up the mountain. And by the time they descended (destined for champagne and a pampering evening away), the pink diamond on Ingrid's finger confirmed her answer: yes.

Sometimes the road to happiness -- to love -- is unpredictable. It can twist and turn, sometimes taking us past our destination without us even realizing.  No one knows which way the compass might point; what direction life might take.

But one thing is certain for Courtney + Ingrid: wherever these two go, they're going together.
