Tell us your love story!
Tiff and I met through mutual friends. Tiffani had spent the last couple of years on bed rest while treating Lyme disease. She rarely left the house in the beginning, so we spent a lot of time watching movies and talking while she rested. I was blown away by her determination and drive through her struggles. She celebrated small accomplishments. She slowly saw improvements, and was able to get out and enjoy life more over time.
What about the proposal?
I proposed to Tiffani through a video that I made. I felt it would be a better way of showing her what she meant to me, than using my own words. We went and stayed in a little cabin that we liked to visit, and I showed it to her there. She said yes, of course.
When did you know that you were meant to be together?
I think I knew almost instantly that my life wouldn't be right without this girl in it. She was good at all the things I was bad at. She was encouraging and strong, and inspired me to be a better person. I've always looked at her with pure admiration from the first day I met her.
Going into the wedding planning, what did you know you wanted?
We knew we wanted a night wedding, after dark.
Is there anything you wish you knew while you were planning?
I wish I had known that I didn't need to stress as much. I wish I had been more organized!
Any advice for couples planning weddings?
Try to enjoy the planning process! Take time to look around and tuck away little memories.
What was you favorite part of the wedding?
My favorite part of our wedding day was our lantern-lit ceremony. It was intimate, with only a handful of special people there. We were able to speak openly to each other and not worry about a big crowd, or timing, or any of the other usual stresses.
