Tell us how you met and fell in love!

We met through common friends, cliché but the Filipino community in Los Angeles is small, we all are connected somehow. We belong in a Badminton Group here in Los Angeles and are great badminton partners. Started as partners, best friends for a while and one day it just clicked.

Was there a proposal? Tell us about it!

We were engaged at Mission Church in San Juan Capistrano. Me and a group of 8 people try to visit different mission churches in California. On one of our mission church visits at San Juan Capistrano, he proposed. They all planned to wear red...while I really wanted to wear white because it was days before labor day. We were praying and when I turned around they all had yellow and red balloons and he proposed on the altar.

What’s the best thing you’ve learned from your spouse-to-be? He is very disciplined.

What’s your favorite part of your relationship? Our partnership.
