A Super Hero Wedding

Tell us your love story!

Elizabeth (Lizz) and LaQueisha (Queisha) met freshman year of college in 2008 where they became friends after meeting at a mutual friend’s dinner. Their friendship eventually grew into love and they started dating in 2012.

When did you know that you were meant to be with each other?

Their love was built off a genuine friendship and they continue to share this bond through a love of cooking together—especially breakfast, going to the beach and watching movies.

Going into the wedding planning, what did you definitely know?

We really wanted our true personalities to shine through on our wedding day. We had a comic book theme full of color and super heroes. We just wanted to capture our day of fun and love.

What surprised you during planning? What was easy, what was difficult?

The most difficult part of planning the wedding was trying to bring the comic book theme to life so it's appropriate for a wedding and not a children's birthday party.

Is there anything you wish you knew while you were planning your wedding that you know now?

We definitely wish we knew how hard it was going to be to make all of the decorations, so make sure to plan ahead!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Our favorite part of the day was celebrating our love with our friends and family and it was certainly the easiest aspect of our wedding as well.
